Beach wedding rehearsal checklist
As part of the beach wedding rehearsal, make sure you have a diagram drawn and have copies for everyone involved with the wedding. Have your rehearsal at the same time of day that your wedding will take place. You want the conditions to be exactly the same in order to know what to expect the day of the wedding. Make sure all the key people attend. Don't forget to discuss the music cues and include this as part of what you cover at the run-through. Discuss exactly where everyone will go after the ceremony. If your ceremony and reception are both in the same place, when you exit the ceremony you will need to go somewhere while your guests are ushered to the reception area and you can head back to the ceremony site. If the wedding is at sunset, you will want to allow enough time for those once-in-a-lifetime photos. Sunset will not wait for you. So if you get hung up in a receiving line after the ceremony you will definitely loose your opportunity for the sunset pictures. So with that being said, include where you will hide for a short amount of time into your rehearsal.
Don't forget to discuss who will be in charge of wedding accessories for the ceremony; bringing them there, setting them up and taking them away. This is particularly important at a public beach location and if you are not hiring a beach wedding coordinator or having your wedding at a resort. Add a name list of outside vendors, the officiant, the musician, the wedding party to your beach rehearsal checklist. Discuss in detail with the ushers or whoever is seating guests the honor seating arrangements; grandparents and parents and step-parents. Make certain you have covered everything in detail on your beach wedding rehearsal checklist. I have seen more rehearsals than I care to remember handled so lightly and off-handed. This is your opportunity to do a run-through so that you feel comfortable and confident that your wedding ceremony will run smoothly.
